I like the look of Del.icio.us as it can see that it would be a useful tool to use as a Librarian who works at or has worked at several branches of ERL as well as at home. Between changing jobs and computer crashes I have lost lots of sites that I had previously bookmarked to help me with my children's and teenage programs. I think that Del.icio.us would be useful in being able to use my home bookmarks at work and visa versa.
I will have a go at creating an account and see what happens.
I have managed to create a Del.icio.us account called Fiesty_Cat and have tagged four websites, The Age, ABC, Bureau of Meteorology - Melbourne Weather and Peanuts comic site as they are the sites I look at daily. I have had a look at the network badge and although it seems fairly easy, I am not sure that I want to do it at the moment. I personally are having a little bit of a problem with being so trackable on the internet. I tend to keep my personal life private except to close friends, so at this stage the public element of the course and the private me are having a little challenge of their own.
